How ChatRoger works

Everything worth knowing before you message your first AI boyfriend: what is free, what costs credits, and how to get the most out of a character.

What ChatRoger is

ChatRoger is an AI companion platform made for gay men. Each character has his own look, backstory and way of talking. You chat with him in text or voice, and he can send photos or short videos of himself on request. Some characters are made by ChatRoger, others by its community; you can also create your own.

Every character is AI-generated. There is no real person behind the profile, and the photos are generated by the platform.

Free account or Premium

A free account is enough to start chatting. Premium adds a monthly credit allowance and cheaper credit packs.

A photo: 30 credits
A video: 100 credits
A voice note: 10 credits

How credits work

Credits are only deducted when a photo, video or voice note is successfully generated.
According to ChatRoger's FAQ, credits do not expire and stay on your account if you cancel Premium.
A video costs as much as three photos, so start with photos to find the look you like.

Getting a better conversation

Open with something specific to his story. Each profile on this site has three ideas to start.
Tell him about yourself early: the character adapts to what you share.
Ask for a photo in context ("send me a picture from the gym") rather than a generic one.

Find your type

Start with the AI daddy chat characters if you like experience and confidence, or browse the gay jock AI chat profiles, the twink AI chat characters, the easygoing gay otter AI boyfriends and the warm gay bear AI boyfriends.

Privacy

Your conversations happen on ChatRoger, not on this site; we never see them. Read ChatRoger's own privacy policy to understand how your data and payments are handled.
